Sheba

This is our dog Sheba. When there is a storm brewing she wants to be very close to us. Sometimes she lies on the floor with her ears perked nervously listening to every strange sound coming from the outside. In this larger image to the left, she is lying on a floor mat in our den off the kitchen and not far from our feet. I took this photo Monday evening as a winter snow storm was raging outside. In the B&W images, Sheba is perched on a chair looking out one of our kitchen windows surveying all of the snow that is piled up. These photos were taken this morning after the storm.

With her ears perked she reminds me of the “flying nun”. Remember that TV show with Sally Field?

Winter Storm

We are currently being blasted by one of the biggest winter storms of the season with up to 60 cm of snow and 110 km winds forecasted. These are photos of a truck stuck near my driveway late this evening and towed away later. Since that time the storm has really picked up and lots of snow already on the ground.
