Lobster

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting a business colleague's beach cottage in Terence Bay, N.S. and we feasted on lobster. Thes lobster don't exist any longer!

I'm back from travelling so I have commenced posting a POD once again. This picture of a boat was taken at Horsechops on the Southern Shore of NL. Horsechops is a cabin and cottage area near Cape Broyle.

Cliffs of Bell Island

Along the cliffs of Bell Island you will come upon this scene which is located near a lighthouse. The cliffs around the area have eroded over time from the sea and wind and are just majestic looking in real life. My next posting will be Sunday as I'm travelling.

Picture taken yesterday of a view from high on a hill overlooking Deep Cove along the East Coast Trail leading from Brigus South to Flamber Head.

Sunflower

Sunflower taken in the backyard of someones cottage on Bell Island. The sunlight was coming from the back which allowed me to capture shadows in the leaves which I think adds to the photo. I got down low so that the sunflower was contrasted against the blue sky. I included the out of focus sunflower to the right just to give some depth but not sure it works.

Jesus Statute

Last evening I went to a local theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This image I shot on Bell Island came to mine while deciding which photo to post to my blog this morning.

I took this photo looking through a chain link fence from the south side of St. John's Harbour. To the left is "The Rooms" and to the right "The Bascilica". Both dominate the St. John's skyline.

Lichen growing on rocks over looking the ocean. I took this photo earlier this week while on a hike along the East Coast Trail from Brigus South to Admiral's Cove.

Fort Amherst Artillery Bunker

Another photo of the Fort Amherst artillery bunker. This time from a different angle and in black and white. The decaying cement offers up lots of texture and patterns and you could spend hours taking photographs in and around the various bunkers.

Lively Lady in St. John's

The Lively lady sailboat has been in St' John's for the past two weeks but departed on Monday for Halifax. The plans are to sail this boat around the world which will take about a year.
