Middle Cove Ice Cubes
I paid a visit to Middle Cove a few days ago. It was just a terrible drab day weather wise but not too bad for photography. The wind was high and the ocean was in a rage and it was quite the scene to behold as there were bits of iceberg all over the beach. I think these photos speak for themselves. Note the pattern of the waves as they wash over the beach in photos 2 and 3.Newfoundlanders like their ice cubes big:).
The people in the last photo give you a sense for just how big the pieces of ice are in size.

Middle Cove
On Saturday we visited Middle Cove Beach only to discover there were schools of capelin swimming near the beach. Kids and adults alike were in the water catching them in their hands. I have never known capelin to come ashore this late in the year.
