I read in our local newspaper today about Laura Breen being voted best female soccer player in Newfoundland and Labrador for the past decade. I was very impressed with her many other awards. I remembered photographing her about a couple of years ago at a CBC sponsored fundraiser for amateur soccer.

Food Fishery

The cod food fishery opened again today. These photos were taken off Witless bay back when the fishery was open in late July. As you can tell from these two photos, there was a big ocean swell on when I took these shots. From my vantage point in a zodiac they looked like they were being swallowed by the sea t times.
