Alpacas

Here are photos of Alpacas located in Felix Cove on the Port Aux Port Peninsula. I took these while visiting the area in early October.

There is a store in Felix Cove where you can buy clothing made from Alpacas wool. A cool spot for some different shopping.

Johnson Canyon

Here are some more photos from my photography work shop in the Canadian Rockies. These were taken in Johnson Canyon. If you are ever out that way, be sure to take the hike up Johnson Canyon as it is just awesome.

Wildlife in The Rockies

Here are some wildlife photos from the Rockies. The first photo is of a Grizzly Bear I saw just outside Banff. He was a long distance away and the second photo is a crop of the first. The third photo is also a crop of the bear as it enters the water.

The last photo is of an Elk near Yoho National park.

Baker Creek Chalet, Alberta

I did a photo workshop in the Alberta Rockies while on vacation and this is a picture of Baker Creek Chalet where we stayed. This was done with light painting.

It was dark at the time and to capture the lighting on the log chalet a flashlight was used to light up the chalet and a long exposure of around 15 seconds allowed me to capture some of the sky.

This is fun to do and I hope to put that practice to more use in the future. It was one of the techniques I learned at the workshop.

I'll have more photos of the Rockies when I get a chance to look at the hundreds of photos that I took.
