I think you should NOT be disappointed. I have always wanted to try this but it looks very difficult. Did you use lots of additional lighting? since you have to be shooting as a high shutter speed... Hmmmmm looks like it would be fun to attempt. Aloha Renee :)

A collection of my efforts to capture a water droplet. Disappointed in the result but I will keep trying. This is not easy!

I used a nikon SB800 on some and on others two Sb200 macro flashes. Google Lumapix to get software to do collages.
