I spent a weekend in Port Union back in September and learned a lot about the history of the town. One of the most interesting parts of the trip was a tour of the restored Factory building, with its period woodworking machinery and the array of presses and equipment used by the union paper, The Fishermen's Advocate. Here is a link to learn more about the town’s history http://www.historicportunion.com/en/index.html.
This is a collection of photos that I put together that were taken of the printing press machinery housed inside the restored Factor building.

Federal Budget 2009!
Seeing "RED" because of the Federal Budget announced today? I wonder what Sir John would say about the deficit spending?

Manhattan
The first two pictures are silhouettes showing the skyline of Manhattan, NY at sunset. These were taken from the top of a tour bus passing over the Manhattan Bridge. The bottom photo shows cars following behind the tour bus as we crossed the Manhattan Bridge on the way back from Brooklyn.

Red Fox
This is a red fox that I photographed outside a wilderness cabin in Labrador in February of last year. The cooks used to throw out food and the fox would come to visit every morning. In this photo the fox is chewing on a bone that was in the food scraps. The temperature at the time was about -35 Celsius to -40, somewhere in that range.
