Sunflower taken in the backyard of someones cottage on Bell Island. The sunlight was coming from the back which allowed me to capture shadows in the leaves which I think adds to the photo. I got down low so that the sunflower was contrasted against the blue sky. I included the out of focus sunflower to the right just to give some depth but not sure it works.

Sunflower
Sunflower taken in the backyard of someones cottage on Bell Island. The sunlight was coming from the back which allowed me to capture shadows in the leaves which I think adds to the photo. Sunflowers are my favorite. I dont see any around here at all. Oh shucks. :) I like the blue sky afainst the yellow and the backlighting on the leaves. The partial sunflower on the right hmmmm I like how the sun is hitting the yellow part of the flower but maybe a little more showing in the frame would have been nice?? Just my humble opinion not that I really know what the heck I am talking about!! But overall I do like the image maybe because the background is vibrant and not cluttered. :) :) What a feeble attempt here to explain my thoughts I know.. :) :)
