Ennis Sisters

The Ennis Sisters perform at a recent fund raising event in St. John's for breast cancer. The sisters are from Mount Pearl and they are releasing a new album soon. They won the East Coast Music award for group of the year in 2002. The quality of these photos is not the best as I was hand holding a point and shoot.

Quidi Vidi

This is a view as you leave Quidi Vidi village in St. John's. To the left you can see a small opening in the rocks which is the exit/entrance to/from the harbour. Beyond this small entrance is the wide open Atlantic Ocean.

Fluvarium

This is the only year round public fluvarium in North America. Also displays exhibits related to freshwater ecology; live exhibits displaying frogs, toads, eel’s, freshwater fish and invertebrates.

Aerial photographs

Images taken with Canon point & shoot A610 through aircraft window as we left Calgary Airport on December 29th. The first one shows the Rocky Mountains, second taken at a higher altitude (notice roundness of earth) and the third is a subdivision outside Calgary using zoom. These won't make National Geographic :) but, hopefully, make for interesting viewing.

First Steps

New Year's Fireworks
